In 2018, Asef-Burckhardt began their duo with a series of drawings. They sent individual sheets to each other by mail in mutual resonance. In their 2022 exhibition “Topiate”, they showed audio works and poetic fragments that were interwoven with the urban ecology of the nearby Berlin Tiergarten, with an emphasis on sound installation and poetry. In 2023, they continued their specific interplay of sound-and-language in the ecology of California, where they developed a site-specific sound walk at the historical location “The Sea Ranch”. In 2024, they premiered their first joint video work “Conversation 01” at “Deep See” in Berlin, which was shown at the AVIFF video festival in Marseille. Their exhibition “SHELTER-BONE” premiered at HAUNT/frontviews in 2024 and will be shown at Kunstverein Göttingen (G), MOS cultur centre Gorzow (Poland) and WildPalms gallery, Düsseldorf (G) in 2025.
